Steuben County Office for the Aging (SCOFA) | Steuben County Office for the Aging - Corning

The Office for the Aging offers many services for the senior residents of Steuben County including, but not limited to, information and referral, nutrition through congregate meals, advocacy, support groups, transportation services, caregiver services, case management, and the Bone Builders and Senior Meal Programs. Bone Builders and the Senior Dinner Clubs are overseen by Pro Action of Steuben-Yates.

Dial-A-Ride Program/Work Ride Program | Hornell Area Transit System (HATS Bus)

Provides flexibly scheduled door-to-door (curb-to-curb) bus transportation services within the City of Hornell to help residents get to work as well as appointments and other destinations within the city when the fixed routes are not an option.

Provides flexibly scheduled door-to-door (curb-to-curb) bus transportation services for individuals with disabilities who need special accommodations. All buses are wheelchair accessible.

Provides voucher for transportation to destinations and services essential for health, prevention of hospitalization and /or readmissions. Voucher can be used to access food, pick-up prescription, renewal of services, transportation to chronic disease education class, exercise class and other supports essential to good health.

Provides the county's public transportation system which includes fixed route, dial-a-ride and paratransit transportation options. Defensive driving courses are also available. Transportation Services | Steuben Area Rides (StAR)

Provides regularly scheduled bus service between the towns of Addison and Bath; Jasper, Woodhull and Bath; Prattsburgh, Pulteney and Bath; and Wayland, Avoca and Bath. On request bus service may be available. Can flag bus to stop for pick-up anywhere along route. Offers curbside pickup for individuals living within a bus route. All buses have wheelchair lifts available.

Provides a van and driver to transport to meal sites, appointments, medical appointments, for grocery and other shopping, and on recreational outings. Wheelchair transportation is available through a contract with the local ARC.

IHS Coordinated Transportation Services and Volunteer Program | The Institute for Human Services, Inc. (IHS)

Provides transportation to elderly and disabled residents in Steuben County in need to non-emergency medical appointments, pharmacies, grocery stores, food pantries, and/or one-time trip to human service agencies. Regular assistance is not available for recurring treatments such as dialysis or physical therapy, but occasional or short term help may be available. Non-emergency Medicaid Transportation is available to residents in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Livingston and Steuben Counties.
