Early training classes are invaluable tools for creating a loving bond built on mutual respect and understanding. Classes offered through the FLSPCA are taught by instructors who use positive, reward-based methods, are open to all ages of dogs and people, and are tailored to fit individual need.

Provides home ownership opportunities to low- and moderate-income individuals through several loan, grant, and loan guarantee programs. Funding may be available for single family homes, apartments for low-income persons or the elderly, housing for farm laborers, and community facilities such as childcare centers, fire and police stations, hospitals, libraries, nursing homes, schools. The programs also make funding available to individuals to finance vital improvements necessary to make their homes decent, safe, and sanitary.

Serves women who have been trapped by the oppression of human trafficking in a safe and secure residential environment at no cost to the survivor.

Offers case management including advocacy and empowerment, nutrition assistance, and one-on-one volunteer support program to clients and families. Provides referrals related for medical and legal issues, spiritual needs, mental health support, HIV antibody testing, and prevention education programs focusing on: HIV information, prevention, and risk reduction.

Hears cases involving vandalism, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, traffic violations, and other defenses that happen within the village or town. Accepts payments for restitution or fines ordered through the court.

Provides a wide range of supervised outdoor and STEM activities aimed at building leadership skills and self-esteem. Also have available summer camp opportunities. Girls can join through troops, camp, single events or multi-week program series.

Provides help for people with opioid addiction to regain their lives. Suboxone is given when a person is ready to begin treatment and experiencing symptoms of opioid withdrawal. This program is provided through a partnership between Arnot Health and Trinity of Chemung County.

Offers a scholarship to youth who have made a unique or significant contribution to the community or who have overcome a major obstacle in their personal life. Two $750 scholarship winners are selected each year.

Offers a group where members share their own experience, strength, and hope working together to learn a better way of life, to find happiness whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not. Online groups are also available.

Provides free wireless phone service to low-income individuals who qualify.

Helps individuals and families enroll in health plans through NY State of Health, the state’s health insurance marketplace. The Navigator Program is funded by a grant from the New York State Department of Health, and has no ties to any insurance companies.

Provides county-wide police patrol and criminal investigations. Offers various crime prevention programs and education and general information covering law enforcement. Accepts reports of consumer fraud and criminal acts. Maintains an underage drinking tip line.

Provides home buyer counseling and ownership readiness training to improve affordable home ownership opportunities to low-moderate income individuals and families.

Provides an assistive device loan closet. Offers help in finding funding sources and in obtaining any needed device or modification. Also includes equipment and adapted toys for children.

Provides various medical services including internal medicine, intensive care, lab services, surgical, and medical social work.

Provides assistance to individuals with disabilities to solve problems and overcome barriers to independence. This includes helping to identify and access supports and services and apply for benefit programs. Issues tend to resolve around housing, transportation and employment needs.

Pick up and impound or return if known, to their owner’s domestic dogs who have strayed from their homes. Also included enforce laws and complaints regarding dogs who have bitten someone or are otherwise making nuisances of themselves. Most animal control programs are unable to handle nuisance wildlife.

Offers subsidized rental apartments to low-moderate income individuals 62 and older or disabled 18 yrs and older.

Provides a range of resources to help parents with their child care needs, people who want to start or are currently running child care programs, and anyone with a concern about the health or safety of a child in a day care program.

Provides assistance in gaining and appealing SSDI, SSI, as well as administers Pooled Trust accounts.
