Provides temporary benefits and services to income eligible individuals and families with the aim of helping them become self-sufficient. Services include Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) or Family Assistance, Safety Net Assistance (for single individuals or childless couples), employment and food stamp benefits. Child care subsidies are available to low income families to enable them to afford child care and continue to work. May use a registered or informal provider or a relative.

Provides a variety of services and activities to offer support to families in the community including formal and informal parenting education and support; community-based/developmentally appropriate settings for parents/day-care providers and young children to interact; lending libraries; play groups; access to family enrichment services provided by community partners; and many other optional services. This program is a collaboration between Pro Action's Family Development Program, the Woodhull Community and Family Resource Center, Addison Jennie Mose Family Resource Center, Corning Nonnie Hood Parent Resource Center, and Bath Area Family Resource Center.

Provides counseling and support to those in the community interested in developing a small business, or already involved in a small business enterprise. Offers various workshops.

Provides information regarding property taxes. Helps individuals determine if they may be eligible for a tax exemption program and processes applications. Accepts property tax payments.

Provides building code information as well as ensures local building codes are enforced including taking and investigating reports of violations. Issues building permits.

Serves as a liaison for and facilitator of emergency response training. Provides emergency planning, preparedness, response and recovery efforts during an emergency also has listings of hazardous materials. Assigns house numbers so residents can better be located in an emergency.

Hears cases involving vandalism, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, traffic violations, and other offenses that happen within the city or town. Accepts payments for restitution or fines ordered through the court.

Helps older adults become aware of the importance of planning in advance for their health care in the event that they experience an illness or condition that prevents them from making or communicating decisions. This is the best way to ensure that choices are known, understood, and honored.

Provides hot meals, frozen and bulk meals with an in-home assessment to individuals who are unable to shop for own meals or unable to prepare own meals. Provides nutrition education and counseling by a registered dietitian to individuals receiving home-delivered meals through this program. Program is offered in partnership with Pro Action of Steuben and Yates.

Provides of continuing education for licensed social workers, physical therapists and assistants, occupational therapists, and assistants, licensed mental health counselors, and speech language pathologists. Offers in-person, live virtual, and self-paced online training for healthcare professionals.

Provides a wide array of programming for infants through senior citizens including aerobics, aqua exercise, fitness programs, indoor track, basketball, gym classes, after school child care, specialty camps, country line dancing, softball, volleyball, soccer, introduction to golf and swimming lessons for all ages, and pre-school and school age swim instruction.

Oversees cases involving the affairs of decedents, including the probate of wills and the administration of estates.

Provides comprehensive educational program to prepare every student within the district to meet graduation requirements as set by the state. Includes extracurricular activities that give students a wide range of opportunities to be involved in student life.

Provides information and counseling regarding Medicare supplemental policies, Medicare Advantave Plans, long-term care insurance, and Medicare Part D.

Works with income eligible households to improve the energy efficiency of the home. Furnace replacement, referrals and energy evaluations ensure the health and safety of homes. There is currently a waiting list for this program.

Provides limited funding to help pay overdue bills to avoid shut off. Assists with working with Penn Yan Municipal, NYSEG, and other utility providers to secure extensions or payback plans. Funds can also be used towards heating oil and firewood. Also assists with HEAP and SNAP applications for those that might be eligible.

Provides information and assistance about all transportation within the state. Regional offices are able to provide specific information regarding their coverage area.

A community impact organization that raises funds to support solutions to community determined issues under the impact areas of income, education and health. Raises money in the community through the efforts of volunteers and invests those resources in programs that help people improve their lives. Provides no direct assistance to individuals.
