Provides programs and services to individuals and families affected by eating disorders.

Offers safety seats, boosters and bicycle helmets free or at low cost to residents. Also evaluates proper installation of car seats and boosters and proper fit of helmets to ensure safety of the child. This program is co-sponsored by the Steuben County Traffic Safety Board and Sheriffs Department.

Offers case management to assist individuals and their families in areas of self-care; activities of daily living; social functioning; economic self-sufficiency; self-direction, concentration and employment. Case managers also provide support, advocacy and coordination of other mental health services.

Provides information regarding property taxes. Helps individuals determine if they may be eligible for a tax exemption program and processes applications. Accepts property tax payments.

Hears cases involving vandalism, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, traffic violations, and other defenses that happen within the village or town. Accepts payments for restitution or fines ordered through the court.

Provides summer youth programs to area youth. Breakfast and lunch is provided along with various enrichment programs including swimming, games and field trips. Various camps are also available throughout the summer.

Provides one-on-one HUD approved counseling for seniors who wish to withdraw equity from their home for expenses. Counselors explain process and assist in determining available options.

Provides shelter service for stray, homeless, abused and abandoned animals of Chemung County; offers and promotes animal adoptions; hosts low-cost spay/neuter clinics for the public in partnership with local agencies. Also investigates complaints of cruelty, neglect, and abandonment. All complaints are kept confidential, and can be made anonymously. Dog behavior and training classes are available.

Provides comprehensive wellness services including fitness, health education programs, smoking cessation, disease and injury prevention, weight and stress management, and health and screening counseling.

Provides case management to individuals with one or more chronic health conditions and significant behavioral, medical, and/or social risk factors, and who are in need of assistance linking to services to stabilize and improve their overall health functioning.

Provides home ownership opportunities to low- and moderate-income individuals through several loan, grant, and loan guarantee programs. Funding may be available for single family homes, apartments for low-income persons or the elderly, housing for farm laborers, and community facilities such as childcare centers, fire and police stations, hospitals, libraries, nursing homes, schools. The programs also make funding available to individuals to finance vital improvements necessary to make their homes decent, safe, and sanitary.

Assists in enrollment with small business health insurance. Additional help is provided navigating the health insurance marketplace for people not eligible for state health insurance options.

Offers summer employment opportunities for youth. They are able to work up to ten weeks throughout the summer, for 30 hours per week and earn minimum wage.

Offers an annual award that is given to individuals who act beyond the ordinary requirements of their profession or daily routine. Any adult who is or has been involved in service to youth and families and who has contributed to the quality of life in Chemung County in unique, creative and dedicated ways.

Provides music therapy to assist in the development of speech and motor skills. Children in this program learn through their sensory systems utilizing tactile/touch, auditory/hearing, visual/vision, communication/oral motor sensory, breathing/respiratory awareness, olfactory/smell, vestibular/body movement, and proprioceptive/body awareness.

Provides community integration services to the elderly and individuals with disabilities.

Provides legal assistance to individuals that have been denied SSI benefits by the Social Security Administration, including some disability help, public assistance, food stamps, and Medicaid. Also offers assistance to individuals being threatened with income garnishment or foreclosure due to bankruptcy and those who have frozen bank accounts on deposits that should be exempt. Offers civil legal advice and representation for individuals and families faced with HIV/AIDS.

Provides a wide range of supervised outdoor and STEM activities aimed at building leadership skills and self-esteem. Also have available summer camp opportunities. Girls can join through troops, camp, single events or multi-week program series.

Provides help for people with opioid addiction to regain their lives. Suboxone is given when a person is ready to begin treatment and experiencing symptoms of opioid withdrawal. This program is provided through a partnership between Arnot Health and Trinity of Chemung County.

Provides an Extended School Day and School Violence Prevention program. Weekly clubs offer literacy activities through hands-on programming. School Violence Prevention provides crisis-intervention counseling and support groups to target protective assets and risk factors.

Provides a proactive response to increasing juvenile crime, an alternative to the criminal justice system for young people who have committed a crime or an offense. The goal of Youth Court is to intervene in early anti-social, delinquent, and criminal behavior, and to reduce the incidence and prevent the escalation of such behavior. Youth Court is a diversion program that gives first-time offenders a chance to avoid entering the criminal justice system or Family Court. It holds these youthful offenders accountable for their actions as they are judged by their peers. It also gives members an opportunity to work in the criminal justice system firsthand, prosecuting, defending, and judging the actions of their peers.

Offers a scholarship to youth who have made a unique or significant contribution to the community or who have overcome a major obstacle in their personal life. Two $750 scholarship winners are selected each year.

Offers monthly bus passes and bus tokens for purchase. Monthly passes can be used an unlimited number of times to ride public transportation during the month that it was purchased. Each bus token is valid for one boarding.

Offers subsidized rental apartments to low-moderate income households.
