Provides linkages for individuals with brain injuries received prior to age 22 and their families with community-based services and supports including understanding and navigating the current system of available services, accessing Medicaid Waiver Programs if qualified, training family members, service providers, and educators to understand the impact of brain injury and brain injury prevention, and making connections to community support groups about living with a brain injury or caring for an individual with a brain injury. Assistance is also provided to understanding the local school system’s special education process. This program is funded by the Office of Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities (OMRDD).

Provides information regarding property taxes. Helps individuals determine if they may be eligible for a tax exemption and processes applications. Accepts property tax payments.

Provides low rent public housing units including low income public housing for elderly and families. Emergency and temporary housing is not available, but priority can be given to a homeless person or family.

Offers information and guidance to general public on the prevention and control of communicable diseases or conditions, including sexually transmitted diseases. Works with the New York State Department of Health to monitor developing health related situations.

Provides a specialized outpatient care program designed to meet the needs of veterans who are homebound, or whose health care can best be met within their own home.

Accepts residential, commercial, industrial and construction and demolition waste. Also accepts many recyclable materials, most at no charge. Does not provide hauling services nor process some types of materials. The landfill accepts residential, commercial, industrial and construction and demolition waste. Also available is an electronics recycling program.

Offers a grief support group to individuals who have lost a loved one.

The County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining a system of highways for the transportation of people, goods and services, and to provide drivers with a safe environment.

Offers subsidized rental apartments to low-moderate income households.

Provides prevention, education, training, and information and referral services in efforts to increase awareness of issues regarding alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, abuse, and dependency. Also offers gambling prevention information.

Collaborates with partners throughout the county to conserve and build water, soil and other natural resources.

Offers breast, cervical, colorectal, prostate cancer early detection and education. Pays for the following services, that are completed at the doctor's office, for individuals that qualify: PAPS, clinical breast exams, mammograms, colorectal cancer. Free take home Fecal Immunohystochemical Test (FIT) colorectal cancer kits available.

Performs skilled personal care and homemaking services for those recuperating from acute illness or a disability. Each case is overseen by a registered nurse and services are tailored to meet each client's individualized needs.

Hears cases involving vandalism, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, traffic violations, and other defenses that happen within the village or town. Accepts payments for restitution or fines ordered through the court.

Provides various behavioral heath services to veterans in need.

Offers intermediate care facilities, community residences, supportive apartments, individualized residential alternatives, and family care services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Offers outpatient dialysis for patients in kidney failure as well as other services related to kidney disease.

Enforces all laws and ordinances within their jurisdiction in order to preserve individuals' rights, protect lives and property, and preserve peace in the community. Accepts confidential and investigates reports of criminal activities.

Assists in the identification and safe, timely return of individuals who has propensity for wandering and/or becoming lost. Partners with local law enforcement. Individuals wear a wrist band, the wrist band transmit where they are so police can find them.

Determines eligibility for government health insurance coverage to individuals under the State Medicaid program including: Medicaid, Medicare Premium Payment Programs, COBRA Continuation Payments, Medicaid Buy-In for working individuals with disabilities, Medicaid Managed Care, Coverage for Long Term Care, Family Benefits Program, and insurance coverage for low income and/or disabled individuals. Covered medical services includes care provided by a primary care physician, specialists visits, emergency care, diagnostic testing and treatment, women's health services, prescription and dental care coverage and long term care services including home health services as referred by your primary care physician.

Provides non-medical in-home services including help with bathing, eating, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and laundry based on need. The service also includes a care manager whose responsibility is to determine the individual's needs.

Provides diagnostic and treatment services, critical care, orthopedic and joint replacement as well as lab services, comprehensive rehabilitation and physical therapy services. Along with UR Medicine Specialty Clinics.

Provides various agricultural loans, loan guarantee and grant programs to ensure the stability of farming throughout the state. Works with farmers to ensure they know of all federal programs they can apply for.

Pick up and impound or return to their owners if known, domestic dogs who have strayed from their homes. Also includes, enforce laws and complaints regarding dogs who have bitten someone or are otherwise making nuisances of themselves. Most animal control programs are unable to handle nuisance wildlife.
