Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) | Schuyler County Department of Social Services

Provides HEAP grants that are used to supplement annual energy costs. Funds can only be sent to primary heating supplier and can be used to pay for electricity, propane, natural gas, wood, oil, kerosene, coal and any other heating fuel. Emergency HEAP grants may also be available to eligible households with a shut-off notice or for those running out of fuel such as propane, wood, oil, kerosene or coal. Also provides assistance with replacement or repair of primary heating source.

Early Head Start and Head Start Program | ACCORD Head Start and Early Head Start Center - Bolivar Site

Provides early childhood education and family support services to children and families. The program goal is to offer a wide range of social and educational experiences to help prepare children and families for a successful transition into kindergarten. Services also include nutritious meals, health screenings and services for children with disabilities. Limited transportation is available to participants of the Friendship and Wellsville centers. Children and families enrolled in the home based option receive education and family services during their weekly home visit, each lasting 1.5 hours each week.
