The goal of Youth Court is to intervene in early anti-social, delinquent, and criminal behavior, and to reduce the incidence and prevent the escalation of such behavior. Youth Court is a diversion program that gives first-time offenders a chance to avoid entering the criminal justice system or Family Court. It holds these youthful offenders accountable for their actions as they are judged by their peers. It also gives members an opportunity to work in the criminal justice system firsthand, prosecuting, defending, and judging the actions of their peers.

Included are court-ordered and voluntary programs for individuals who are involved in domestic violence or child abuse. Adult counseling is provided within a group setting. The purpose of the group is to assist the client in using skills and concepts related to anger triggers and responses to further develop the use of non-abusive behaviors and overcome negative barriers; to assist the client in reducing his risk of physically, emotionally, and/or psychologically abusive behaviors that are hurtful to others and selves; to encourage further the use of healthy thought processes, understanding the role of positive recognition of feelings and how to deal with feelings/emotions in a healthy/positive way to assist the client in the use of learned skills to improve relationships and avoid negative consequences related to interpersonal difficulties with others. Child and adolescent counseling is provided on an individual basis only.
