Provides educational workshops and seminars, caregiver discussion group, counseling, respite care, resource library, information and assistance on a wide variety of services and topics. Also provides information and assistance for grandparents and other relatives age 55+ who are caring for children.

Provides assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in gaining access to the necessary support and aid needed to live productive lives. Uses person-centered planning focusing on the needs and desires of the individual receiving services while striving for the highest quality of life. Develops an Individualized Service Plan (ISP) which outlines what goals the individual hopes to accomplish, the strategies to achieve these goals, and what support they will receive along the way. Plans are evaluated and updated as the individual progresses and to ensure all support and services are meeting the individual's needs. Also assists individuals with services such as future planning, residential planning, recreation, residential habilitation, day habilitation, reimbursement, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.

Provides information for living, learning, playing, and working in the Corning Area. Maps, brochures, special event information and tickets to area attractions are available. The center also has available accommodation and restaurant assistance, souvenirs, daily rental lockers, wi-fi, and loan of wheelchairs (compliments of Guthrie Corning Hospital).

Provides clinical services to individuals with disabilities and their families including treatment coordination during the eligibility process and while accessing additional agency services; advocacy with other agencies when additional services are needed; psychological services including assessments and therapy; social work; nursing services; nutrition services and rehabilitation counseling. Serves as the Registrar of Vital Statistics and provides various services related to birth and death certificates, and marriage licenses. Issues dog licenses and provides dog control services.

Employment Support Services include person-centered vocational supports in a variety of settings, developing skills and good work habits as a way of increasing independence and assisting individuals to become productive and contributing members of the community. Personal growth and a sense of self-worth are achieved and enhanced. Adults with developmental disabilities may be able to earn income while working to achieve their maximum potential. A wide range of services and supports are offered including exploration of career interests, job readiness programs, and in some cases, a more directly supported work environment.

Reaches out to nursing home residents who are Medicaid recipients and want to explore transitioning back to the community. AIM helps people move into their own residence and arranges home- and community-based services so they can live independently.

Provides non-medical in-home services including help with bathing, eating, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and laundry based on need. The service also includes a care manager whose responsibility is to determine the individual's needs.

Provides free, nutritious meals to children and teens through out the summer.

Provides various agricultural loans, loan guarantee and grant programs to ensure the stability of farming throughout the state. Works with farmers to ensure they know of all federal programs they can apply for.

Offers a crisis intervention hotline to victims of rape and sexual assault. Also provides clients advocacy, transportation, court accompaniment and preparation, and individual and group counseling. Provides to the community education and primary prevention services. Crime Victim Compensation assistance through the NYS office of Victim Services.

Provides Prevocational and Supported Employment to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to assist in preparing for volunteering and worksite experiences, as well as obtaining and maintaining competitive and integrated employment.

Offers a home-based program in which counselors and families work together on specific family issues that need to be addressed. Issues may include parent/child relationships, family communications, problem solving, school concerns and feelings management. Services will focus on developing a specific plan of action that directly address the strengths, needs and interests of the family.

Hears cases involving vandalism, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, traffic violations, and other offenses that happen within the city or town. Accepts payments for restitutions or fines ordered through the court.

Provides diagnostic and treatment services, critical care, and lab services. Also offers comprehensive rehabilitation, physical therapy services and medical social work.

Assists Medicaid-eligible people with TBI to leave nursing homes and move into the community or to obtain services to avoid nursing home placement. Helps people through the eligibility process, to select a service coordination agency, and to access other benefit programs and services in the community.

Offers employment opportunities for youth providing tools to increase employment opportunities as well as help in job placement.

Offers a licensed school age child care program where students work on homework, receive substance abuse prevention education, and lesson plans of cultural and educational nature. Also provides field trips, recreation and snacks.

Offers economic development loans for commercial development/maintenance, housing rehabilitation loans for rental properties, and loans to help with water and sewer issues. Helps to identify other funding sources to help build the local business economy, including providing demographic and statistical data, identifying commercial sites and buildings, coordinating reviews and help with understanding and complying with local zoning and code laws.

Works with income-eligible households (homeowners, renters, and landlords) to improve the energy efficiency of the home (single family units, manufactured housing, and 1-4 building rental units). Considers weatherization efforts including insulation and air sealing; home heating sources, hot water tanks, carbon monoxide or smoke detectors, solar options and more, to ensure the health and safety of homes. Grants offered through New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) for income-eligible households, referrals and assessment also available.
