Provides integrated, supportive housing for people with disabilities who are facing homelessness. Apartments are available for Medicaid recipients 55 and older who require assistance with activities of daily living; individuals who are 18 and older with eligibility for services through the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD); and military veterans with disabilities. Staff is located on site who advocate for residents; connect them to services available in the community; provide independent living skills training, and facilitate social and recreational opportunities.

Provides early childhood education and family support services to children and families. The program goal is to offer a wide range of social and educational experiences to help prepare children and families for a successful transition into kindergarten. Services also include nutritious meals, health screenings and services for children with disabilities. Limited transportation is available to participants of the Friendship and Wellsville centers. Children and families enrolled in the home based option receive education and family services during their weekly home visit, each lasting 1.5 hours each week.

Advocates for residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities and adult care homes. Ombudsmen visit long-term care facilities, build relationships with residents, and give them a voice. Ombudsmen help people understand their rights; address issues that could impact health, safety and quality of life; and investigate complaints.

Provides food items to individuals in the community who are in emergent need. Accepts prepackaged and fresh produce food donations.

Library services vary by location but can include summer reading programs, public computers with internet access, free wireless connections, children and adult book clubs, story times, outreach services to elderly and local schools, copying and faxing services, and public meeting rooms.

Provides summer youth employment opportunities for up to 40 youth per summer. Youth provide clean-up services for the various events held at the raceway throughout the summer.

Hears cases involving vandalism, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, traffic violations, and other defenses that happen within the village or town. Accepts payments for restitution or fines ordered through the court.

Offers rehabilitation services to the blind and visually impaired where case workers go out to individuals homes for assessment and in home rehabilitation related to vision loss, providing cane travel, homemaker training, adaptive reading devices (low vision), talking watches and clocks, and general training in blindness rehabilitation.

Provides information regarding property taxes. Helps individuals determine if they may be eligible for a tax exemption and processes applications. Accepts property tax payments.

Provides a parent education program to promote children’s social and emotional skills, understand their problem behaviors, and use positive approaches to help children learn appropriate behavior. These sessions will give parents general information on key strategies that may be used with all children. All facilitators are trained through Center for the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning.
