A collaborative program between the Chemung County Youth Bureau, Chemung County Probation Department, Chemung County Family Court and Children's Integrated Services, a division of the Chemung County Department of Social Services.

Enforces all laws and ordinances within their jurisdiction in order to preserve individuals' rights, protect lives and property, and preserve peace in the community. Accepts confidential and investigates reports of criminal activities.

Provides shelter service for stray, homeless, abused and abandoned animals of Chemung County; offers and promotes animal adoptions; hosts low-cost spay/neuter clinics for the public in partnership with local agencies. Also investigates complaints of cruelty, neglect, and abandonment. All complaints are kept confidential, and can be made anonymously. Dog behavior and training classes are available.

A comprehensive homeownership program for hopeful homeowners that includes down payment and closing cost financial assistance, one‐on‐one financial counseling and homebuyer education courses.

Provides vaccinations, mobile testing and screening, pop-up PODS (Point of Distribution) providing health services during community health events and emergency situations, emergency response during times of a crisis, and community engagement. Specially equipped van will deliver basic health care services to vulnerable and/or remote populations that are unable to access a community health care facility.

Provides a centralized intake process for adults and children who have significant behavioral health needs that would benefit from additional supports and services in the community. This includes people with significant behavioral and medical or social risk factors which can be addressed through overall care management. There are three types of SPOAs - Children's, Adult Case/Care Management and Adult Housing. The SPOA process provides for the identification of people most in need of services, and manages service access and utilization.

Promotes healthy sexuality and reproductive choices by providing most pregnancy related services including abortion referrals, education and counseling, free pregnancy testing, family planning counseling and emergency contraception.

Recruits, screens and matches trained volunteers in one-to-one friendship relationships with adults receiving mental health services. Program is based on the concept that a volunteer's friendship and support can offset the loneliness and isolation of mental illness. Volunteers meet with their matched friends a minimum of 4 hours a month at a time and place of their choosing to share social, recreational, and educational activities. Compeer offers programs for children and youth called PAL and Circle of Friends programs to match children and adolescents receiving mental health services identified with social support needs with a mentor.

Offers supported employment opportunities to the blind and visually impaired in a manufacturing role.

Offers fresh produce, dairy products, and other food and grocery products directly to people in need. Partners with local sponsor organizations, who provide additional volunteers to help distribute food at pre-designated sites. Limited number of people able to be served per site.

Offers temporary financial assistance to help working families faced with emergency situations including rental assistance, utility assistance, and prescription assistance. Additional one-time help may be available depending on situation and funding availability.
