Uses person-centered planning focusing on the needs and desires of the individual receiving services while striving for the highest quality of life. Develops an Individualized Service Plan (ISP) which outlines what goals the individual hopes to accomplish, the strategies to achieve these goals, and what support they will receive along the way. Plans are evaluated and updated as the individual progresses and to ensure all support and services are meeting the individual's needs. Also assists individuals with services such as future planning, residential planning, recreation, residential habilitation, day habilitation, reimbursement, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.

Provides comprehensive wellness services including fitness, health education programs, smoking cessation, disease and injury prevention, weight and stress management, and health and screening counseling.

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations protecting the county's ground and surface water resources. Enhances and preserves the environmental and public health of the community through services, education, and enforcement.

Provides the county's public transportation system which includes fixed route, dial-a-ride and paratransit transportation options. Defensive driving courses are also available. Also offers medical and pre-school transportation on a contractual basis and specialized transportation for individuals with disabilities.

Investigates and intervenes on behalf of adults who are unable to act on their own behalf, manage their own affairs, or who are in immediate danger. Responds and investigates reports of adult and child abuse or neglect. Ongoing supervision for those at risk of abuse is also available.

Offers monthly bus passes and bus tokens for purchase. Monthly passes can be used an unlimited number of times to ride public transportation during the month that it was purchased. Each bus token is valid for one boarding.

Issues all driver licenses including enhanced driver licenses and non-driver identification, learner permits including written exams and road tests, vehicle registration, commercial driver licenses, plate surrender and enforcement transactions. Takes passport photos.
