Provides a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Student Assistance Program (SAP), and individualized counseling and therapy for people of all ages and stages of life.

Provides assessment and individual, family, and group mental health therapies for school-aged children and their families at schools within the Elmira School District. This program is offered in partnership with the Elmira School District, Chemung County Children's Integrated Services (CIS) and Chemung County.

Contracted by Chemung County to provide services for child, adolescent and adult residents with acute and persistent emotional and mental health problems through NYS OMH licensed outpatient mental health clinic services. Programs support emotional, social, and mental health promotion, psycho-education, and recovery. The clinic offers early intervention prior to onset of chronic or severe psychiatric problems; seeks to prevent hospitalization or re-hospitalization; and offers community education and consultation services for clients, their families, and the community. Services are prioritized for children and adolescents identified as Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) and adults identified as Seriously Mentally Ill (SMI).

Offers an initial mental health evaluation to evaluate mental health conditions or concerns related to any kind of medical intervention including behavioral health services recommendations for individuals considering Bariatric Medical Intervention.

Provides individual, marital/couple, and family counseling services. Master level therapists are trained to address many emotional issues including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, parent-child difficulties, personal adjustment and stress related issues.

Activities: Arts including open art studio, creative writing classes, music groups and open mic nights; Outdoor activities including biking, kayaking, gardening club, open recreation; Fitness classes at all levels; Yoga and meditation; Book club; Game and Movie nights; Family support groups; Peer Support; Mutual aid groups; Volunteer opportunities; Community service projects; Holiday gatherings; Recovery library and quiet spaces.

Provides a school-based youth counseling program for at-risk youth that is modeled after the national Student Assistance Program (SAP) and aids at-risk children in dealing with alcohol/drug problems, academic problems, family problems.

Volunteer program designed to give adult role modeling to children in need as well as for adults who are isolated as a result of mental illness and in need of friendship. All volunteers undergo extensive background check and training.

Provides local alternative for counties needing to place children at a higher level of care that a county-level foster home can provide. Therapeutic foster homes specialize in the care of children with psychologically, social, emotional and behavioral health care needs who can respond in close relationships within a family setting and whose special needs require more intense or therapeutic services. Also recruits and trains individuals and families to act as foster parents to children in need of out of home care.

Works collaboratively with state agency, local partners, and families to identify solutions. Serves children, youth, and young adults from birth to age 22 with physical, emotional, developmental, and/or intellectual disabilities who have multiple care needs and are experiencing difficulty accessing services. Works with state and local agencies and parents to identify and resolve inter-agency issues and jurisdictional disputes that impede access to services. The primary objectives are to ensure that individual children receive the most appropriate community-based or residential services; minimize delays in arranging services; resolve service disputes; and facilitate the development of specific services and programs designed to meet the needs of children and youth with non-traditional or complex needs.

Provides in-person mental health crisis intervention and support services within the home or community. Services include immediate access to treatment services designed to stabilize crisis situations, enhancing skills and knowledge to reduce environmental and social stressors, and connections to programs and services.

This program is a partnership between the Department of Human Services, the District Attorney's Office, law enforcement, victim services, medical providers, and mental health services. The collaboration increases prosecution and accountability of perpetrators, while promoting safety and support to victims and the non-offending family members.
