Offers ride-sharing (carpooling) options for commuters and others wishing to share rides. Registered commuters are matched with other commuters who have similar travel patterns within their area that are interested in ride-sharing. Matches are based on proximity to home and work locations as well as work hours.

Steuben County Office for the Aging (SCOFA) | Corning Senior Center (Office and Congregate Meal Site)

The Office for the Aging offers many services for the senior residents of Steuben County including, but not limited to, information and referral, nutrition through congregate meals, advocacy, support groups, transportation services, caregiver services, case management, and the Bone Builders and Senior Meal Programs. Bone Builders and the Senior Dinner Clubs are overseen by Pro Action of Steuben-Yates.

On request bus service may be available. Offers curbside pickup for individuals living within 3/4 of a mile of a bus route.

Provides regular scheduled bus service throughout the city of Elmira and between Elmira and Corning (Corning Community College), Elmira and Ithaca (Cornell University), Elmira and Horseheads, and from the Chemung County Transportation Center in Elmira to the Corning Transportation Center, as well as to the Elmira-Corning Airport. On request bus service available on all routes except commuter routes. Offers curbside pickup for individuals living within 3/4 of a mile of a bus route. Deviation is not available on commuter routes.

Provides help with navigating the 511 NY Southern Tier Rideshare services. Helps eliminate transportation barriers to and from medical appointments. Offers bus tokens and gas money to individuals in need of transportation assistance for non-emergency medical appointments, finding employment, groceries, and applying or re-certifying for services at a human service agency.
